Welcome to my blog, Mr. Wealth Mechanic. Let me share a little about this site and my motivations.

Why?

The purpose of this blog is to share my journey of financial independence, share my costly lessons and inspire you to pick a few nuggets of wisdom that may help you in your journey.

In this blog you will see a methodical approach to personal finance based on my unique approach of trials and tribulations over the last 25yrs.

I am in my mid-40’s and a family man with two kids in the north-east region. There are many “hats” that I wear and enjoy, besides being a dad/husband, which has shaped and enriched my financial independence journey.

– Senior IT leadership role in a Fortune 500 company and clocking 20+ years with the same company.

– Real estate Investor, Landlord, Property Manager and Handyman for all my properties

– Mr. Fix it for most car repairs, home repair, plumbing and appliance repairs. I love DIY projects.

– Tax preparer for personal and business taxes

– Avid Traveler – loves to travel worldwide

– Fast Cars & Driving – loves to drive engaging cars (Sadly a dying a breed)

– Blessed with two kids and a wonderful wife

– Married for 22+ years, happy wife-happy life.

Why Mr. Wealth Mechanic?

I have always loved finance ever since I was a little kid starting with the simple dream to buy my car for cash without borrowing. My motivations have changed as I grew older but my love for finance, cars and independence did not.

With Mr. Wealth Mechanic, I plan to share many of the strategies and rationales that I have used to guide my decisions, which served me well. It will not have any hidden agenda. If I ever get to a point where I get “sponsors”, that will be clearly stated. My goal is to grow this blog to help others in their journey and do some “Financial Coaching” to keep me engaged and busy during retirement. I do plan to offer “financial coaching” free of charge for those who need assistance.

In all my financial strategies and tactics you will observe the following theme:

1. Simplicity : I value simple approaches based on sound fundamentals

2. Low risk and Low cost: Techniques that are low risk and low cost. (Low risk = Keep the principal safe)

3. Passive income : Huge focus on building passive income, with OPM (Other People’s Money)

4. Out of the box tactics: Avoid following the crowd by capitalizing on niches with a displined approch based on fundamentals. No get rich-quick – Good things take time.

** Please note that this does not constitute financial advice, you are solely responsible for your decisions. Strategies and tactics shared on this site is informational, opinions and experiences ***

Thank you for your time.

Yours truly,

Sam, aka Mr. Wealth Mechanic
